A girls weekend out in ST. GEORGE!

November 7-9, 2008

My parents are FINALLY moving back to UTAH! They have decided to relocate to ST. GEORGE! My mom arrived on Friday morning (7th) and spent the day watching the girls. I picked Sierra up on my way home from school. Then, we went home and had a few 'gliches' in leaving on time... Like I am a 'duh' brain. I had everything loaded and started looking for the 'center' seat belt for Sierra (who was going to have a 'fun' ride squished between two car seats in the Subaru! which isn't really a roomy vehicle... I love it when it is just me and the girls and wish I would have gotten a roomier vehicle when we are more than three!) and I couldn't find it. I really thought I had 'taken it out' and looked and looked. I even went to the dealer and the 'nice' gentleman informed me that the belt comes from the ceiling and had been there all along. BOY! Did I feel like the 'ditzy woman'!

We stopped in Draper to get some food... and made great time on the drive to AURORA! We had a wonderful evening at the Sorensen's. Sierra and Savannah slept (maybe?) outside in their trailer! We got up on Saturday morning to a great breakfast and headed for St. George.

We had a great lunch from a 'bunch' of different places at the mall, followed by ice cream. Then, we all jumped in Linda's vehicle (which is Very ROOMY... it is one of those cross-over things that is a mix of SUV and Mini Van). We drove out to the 'site' for my parents new home. It is in the most amazing place. The scenery is stellar. We walked through several homes... even one that was being lived in! We were being aggressive about talking to anyone outside and not shy about asking if we could see their homes. We also drove through some other neighborhoods.

We headed back to the hotel for dinner and a FUN! FUN! time in the swimming pool. We had the best room... it had two queens in one room and a king in the other... all for $149!

Our biggest 'adventure' was the fire alarms going off in the middle of the night. I was just a bit concerned about the fact that ALL the kids slept right through it... doesn't do much for your 'paranoid' mother syndrome.

We went to IHOP for breakfast and then took a detour to the MALL for Sierra and Savannah to shop at 'areopostle'. I guess it is all the RAGE! Then, more touring for homes. We headed for home around 3:00!

I didn't take any pictures... I had it when I do that! So the only evidence we have of the evening is our 'attempt' at the 'picture booth'. It is harder than you think to get 3 adults, 2 tweens, a toddler and an infant in that booth!

We had a BLAST!

POTTY Training 101!

So... here we go! Breoni has been really good about wearing her 'big girl panties' every evening when we get home. She is working with the teachers at school well and will sit on the 'mini toilets' that they have in the day care. I have never seen such small toilets. I didn't even know they made them so little! She is stellar about sitting on the potty when mom and/or dad ask her to, however we are having a little more difficulty with 'knowing' that it is time to go. We have had regular accidents and not much success with 'making it to the potty'. She had really got the process down. She loves to FLUSH! and is a PRO at washing her hands!

ANY and ALL suggestions welcome here!!!!!

What a DOLL!

Pictures Taken: November 2nd
Kyrie is getting to be quite the kid! She is incredibly happy and has a the cutest giggle ever. She is an incredibly mild manner baby and rarely gets upset. She is incredibly curious about her surroundings and is always craning her neck to get a look at the action. She is close to sitting up on her own and loves to reach out and grab onto things. She turned 5 months old on November 10th! We love, Love, LOVE her!

What a GREAT DADDY!

Jerry is a wonderful Daddy.
Breoni and Kyrie both LOVE him VERY much!
Thanks for all you do for all of us!

Yet another tag...from Joy!

6 Quirks of interest?

I am incredibly particular about the way my laundry is folded. I worked for the Limited in High School and had to fold everything around a clip board. I think it ruined me for life!

I would like a tattoo! I keep writing this. Maybe I'm trying to overcome all the messages in my head that say this isn't okay. I think I will start designing it tomorrow!

I would like to own a 65' Mustang and it will need to be the vintage purple color! My great-grandmother had one. My dad inherited it and fixed it all up. I got to drive it one summer while I was in college. It represents a free spirit for me since my very 'hip' grandmother purchased a purple sports car when she was 69!

I prefer to stay up late and get up late, but my teaching schedule FORCES me to be an early riser... I just haven't figured out how to go to bed early yet!

I am a PRINCE fan. I'm more into his music from the 80's and 90's before he decided to be a 'symbol' instead of PRINCE. I could listed to VINTAGE PRINCE for hours and hours.

I have tons of 'empty' frames hanging on the walls in my house. I have tons of pictures to fill them, but just can't seem to find the time! I wonder what my mother would say that is communicating about my life! And, since I said that... I believe that there is a message/lesson in everything that happens in life!

Who do I tag? Well, I'll say anyone who isn't a party pooper!
