LAGOON
Breoni went to Lagoon for the first time!

She went on her very first ride! She did a wonderful job of holding on tight! Thanks Grandma for taking our picture!Breoni did so well we decided to try the boats.
Breoni did really well in the boat for the FIRST loop... then she started looking for Mommy and she just couldn't find me.
So, like any toddler would, she started crying. I went in after her...and basically, I got in a lot of trouble since when I opened the gate... THE RIDE STOPPED! The ride attendant wasn't too happy with me... but, BREONI was when I picked her up!GYMNASTICS
Breoni is still loving gymnastics. She is really strong. She is a favorite with all the instructors and they all think she could 'GO FOR THE GOLD' some day! She is quite the monkey.
I personally think that some of her skill is because her Daddy made her a 'bar' for Christmas so she practices her skills all the time at home. She will walk the whole length of the beam now. And, she even lets go sometimes.
She has all the skills to move into the 3 year old class (and she isn't even two yet)...except staying with the group. She has a mind of her own! I am so glad that we have taken the time to do this class. Breoni is so agile and confident. In addition to the beam and bar, she is learning to jump on the trampoline. She has become a great climber.
Breoni picks up skills so rapidly now! Each week the gym has a theme that also teaches her about her body, following directions and vocabulary. We play ring-around-the-rosies and with the big parachute every week.
She loves going and is learning a lot of social skills from the class. And, I love going too! We get to spend time together learning, exercising, and most of all laughing. At the end of every class, the kids get stamps on their hands and feet. Breoni also requests one for her 'belly'.
THANKS to all the wonderful teachers and the owner (Chan!) at FLIPS!GETTING KYRIE'S ROOM READY, etc.
I was working hard to get Kyrie's room all ready. I didn't finish (of course!) but I made some good progress and FINALLY finished the quilt and bumpers (had to create my own pattern here!) for the adorable cradle that Aunt Susie made (12 years ago for Sierra!) I also got all (okay, most!) of the unfinished
items I wanted to sew for Breoni's room done. Granted I was up 'all night' more than once during the week before we left for Washington. But, it felt so satisfying to get it done! What a kid!
Breoni is so COOL! One day while I was trying to get the house clean, she was entertaining herself. She was watching her BACKYARDIGAN'S video called 'The Snow Fort". The characters all had their 'snow goggles' on. She had just asked for 'icies' (and, she needs one for each hand!) so we had her all outfitted in the great bib's (my favorite!) that we were given... and her OtterPops. A few minutes later, I look over and 'waaalaaa'... Breoni also has GOGGLES on!
